Role Overview.

This position is a role within the Product stream and a position within the core team of the business. Day to day, you will work primarily with the SEO and Website Executive and SEO and Website Director, as well as the rest of the product streams, to deliver a high performing product offering. You will assist with developing and executing SEO and Website strategies, auditing across relevance, technical and authority pillars of SEO, and optimising websites and other owned media channels for search engines to improve organic visibility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across different industries and contribute to their online success.

This is a fast paced and dynamic role, where you will be constantly learning and growing. You will be relied upon to exhibit behaviours which assist in the development of the SEO product.

Role & Responsibilities.

Product

  • Assist with cultivating any collateral required to activate these products both within the business and the wider market.
  • Develop skills using different technologies in the market, such as SEMrush and Screaming Frog.
  • Keep up to date with search engine algorithm changes and update the wider team.
  • Stay across SEO industry news and trends and share with the team when necessary.
  • Develop your knowledge of how Yango’s Web product aligns with SEO strategies, such as web development and design.

Client

  • Arrive to client meetings promptly on time, demonstrating proactivity and professionalism.
  • Conduct keyword research to guide content creation and optimisations.
  • Assist with implementing onsite optimisations.
  • Support with the identification and execution of technical fixes.
  • Assist with ensuring best practice auditing, strategy and implementation of SEO and Website campaigns across the business.
  • Assist with data analysis and the delivery of reporting/results, tracking keywords and other key performance metrics.

Internal

  • Demonstrate the Yango values – “What’s the +1?”, Agile Learners & Doers, Taking Care, Simplifying the Complex.
  • Regularly attend the +1 University training program, learning and developing new skills in the process.
  • Work in collaboration with the Client streams and the broader Product streams to deliver on shared objectives.
  • Actively work to broaden your knowledge of the media landscape, as well as other Yango products and services.
  • Actively work to broaden your skills with using the Yango WordPress CMS to support the internal marketing strategy.
  • Contribute to making Yango a better place to work through participation in agency initiatives relating to culture, collaboration and quality work output.
  • Demonstrate initiative and proactivity in the way you work, identifying and articulating opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that you are communicating effectively within your team, with your manager, and across the business.

Commercial

  • Develop time management skills to ensure you are working to billed client hours and reporting back to your line manager with regular updates on tasks.

KPIs.

The following KPIs are the minimum requirements of this role. Your line manager will work with you to tailor bespoke KPIs that address your individual learning and development needs.

Product

  • Assist with the development/update and rollout of at least 1 product per quarter, providing examples of how you have contributed to this and the positive outcomes which resulted.
  • Assist with the assessment of SEO and Website news and trends, providing at least one update per quarter.

Client

  • Assist with ensuring all client documents are of a quality standard.
  • Assist with the development of SEO & Content relevance and technical auditing, reporting and keyword research.

Internal

  • Learn the Yango values – “What’s the +1?”, Agile Learners & Doers, Taking Care, Simplifying the Complex – and in doing so inspires others.
  • Engage in the blended search approach through actively engaging with the Paid Search team on collaboration between SEO and Paid search, along with the client services team on other media channels
  • Attends 90% of +1 University training sessions.

Commercial

  • Ensure that you are actively tracking your SEO and Website hours, updating the SEO and Website Director at least once a month

Qualifications.

  • No direct experience is required for this role, but some previous experience is preferable.
  • Tertiary education in a related field (e.g. Advertising, Commerce, Business, Marketing) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of what SEO and Website is and how it ties in with other media channels.
  • Basic ability to deliver on SEO and Website projects involving both on-site and off-site elements.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in industry tools and technology, including but not limited to: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush and Screaming Frog, are preferable but not mandatory.
